HERAN Conferences

HERAN has consistently held annual conference every year since 2000. The conference always attracted participants from all the tertiary institutions that offer Home Economics and related disciplines in Nigeria and Home economists in government ministries as well as firms and research institutes. Participants also attend from outside Nigeria.
The themes of the conferences were often informed by the need for Home Economics to address the challenges that presently plague individuals and families and those that are possibly going to emerge in the future. Home Economists need to keep abreast of community, national and global challenges, evolve ways of helping families cope with such challenges and constantly modify their practices in line with emerging situations.
The conferences have always been characterized by academic paper presentations, exhibitions, workshops, etc.
